The Department of Smart City Planning and Real Estate at the Kyung Hee University was established in 2020 as a master’s and doctoral program within the university’s general graduate school.
With the rapid advancements of smart technologies and increasing transparency and accessibility of information in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the frameworks and perceptions surrounding urban planning and real estate studies are undergoing a significant transformation. This change is ushering in a new era where interdisciplinary knowledge and practical technological expertise are key, and professionals with such competencies are taking the lead in academia and industry alike.
At the Department of Smart City Planning and Real Estate, we offer a distinctive curriculum in Smart Urban Planning and PropTech, made possible through collaborations with various departments across Kyung Hee University. We emphasize interdisciplinary research and aim to train experts capable of formulating sophisticated urban and real estate policies through big data analysis powered by artificial intelligence.
